Rhyme ....

He left me alone
He told me on the phone
Now that just doesn’t seem right
I will close my eyes n turn out all the lights
but i wont cry tonight, cause m already sleeping

All of those things are in the past
Like a beaten up n faded photograph
Cant remember your name
Who r u again?
You r history, history yeah
back in the day……
No more living for yesterday
Come n kiss me, I will prove there is more to me than you!!

You don’t love me, that’s okay
I m moving in n moving out
Think I can’t pull through?
Just watch me without you.
He always picked a fight every other nyt,
And he was always right,yeah right
Now i won’t be a fool
I guess i broke some rules
But i broke them on my own
Broke to make u feel loved
But i guess u were just finding ways to flush them up

Therez a time punching the wall
Dying to crawl, willing to crawl
No way,wotever wotever
i guess we r not meant to b together
Thatz okay!!!

TATA.. d group we can proud of ...

TATA's an awesome organization - Most of us do not know as this never figured out in media

HERE'S A LIVE EXAMPLE.... READ ON

INSTEAD OF LIGHTING CANDLES OR STANDING VIGIL OR IN ATTENTION(AND NOT PAYING YOUR TAXES)WHILE THE NATIONAL ANTHEM IS BEING SUNG, IF WE ALL JUST DID OUR DUTIES, THE WORLD WOULD HAVE BEEN MORE WONDERFUL...

Meeting with H N Srinivas Senior Executive Vice President, Taj Group of Hotels.

HNS narrated the 26th November 2008 terror attack on Taj Mumbai and these are some important points.
Stories of Staff Heroics

1. A young lady guest relation executive with the HLL gathering stopped any of the members going out and volunteered 3 times to go out and get stuff such as ice cubes for whiskey of the guests when the situation outside the hall was very explosives and she could have been easily the target of the bullets
2. Thomas George a captain escorted 54 guests from a backdoor staircase and when he was going down last he was shot by the terrorists
3. There were 500 emails from various guests narrating heroics of the staff and thanking them for saving their lives
4. In a subsequent function, Ratan Tata broke down in full public view and sobbed saying the company belongs to these people. The wife of Thomas George who laid his life saving others said, she and the kids were proud of the man and that she did not know that for 25 years she lived with a man who was so courageous and brave.
5. The episode happened on 26th November, a significant part of the hotel was burnt down and destroyed the hotel was re-opened on 21st December and all the employees of the hotel were paraded in front of the guests
6. It was clearly a saga of extra-ordinary heroics by ordinary people for their organization and in a way for their country. The sense of duty and service was unprecedented
7. The young lady who protected and looked after the HLL guests was a management trainee and we often speak of juniority and seniority in the organization. She had no instructions from any supervisor to do what she did
a.               She took just 3 minutes to rescue the entire team through the kitchen
b.               Cars were organized outside the hotel as per seniority of the members
c.               In the peak of the crisis, she stepped out and got the right wine glass for the guest
8. People who exhibited courage included janitors, waiters, directors, artisans and captains all level of people.

The Tata Gesture

1. All category of employees including those who had completed even 1 day as casuals were treated on duty during the time the hotel was closed
2. Relief and assistance to all those who were injured and killed
3. The relief and assistance was extended to all those who died at the railway station, surroundings including the Pav-Bhaji vendor and the pan shop owners
4. During the time the hotel was closed, the salaries were sent my money order
5. A psychiatric cell was established in collaboration with Tata Institute of Social Sciences to counsel those who needed such help
6. The thoughts and anxieties going on peoples mind was constantly tracked and where needed psychological help provided
7. Employee outreach centers were opened where all help, food, water, sanitation, first aid and counseling was provided. 1600 employees were covered by this facility
8. Every employee was assigned to one mentor and it was that persons responsibility to act as a single window clearance for any help that the person required
9. Ratan Tata personally visited the families of all the 80 employees who in some manner either through injury or getting killed were affected.
10. The dependents of the employees were flown from outside Mumbai to Mumbai and taken care off in terms of ensuring mental assurance and peace. They were all accommodated in Hotel President for 3 weeks
11. Ratan Tata himself asked the families and dependents as to what they wanted him to do.
12. In a record time of 20 days, a new trust was created by the Tatas for the purpose of relief of employees.
13. What is unique is that even the other people, the railway employees, the police staff, the pedestrians who had nothing to do with Tatas were covered by compensation. Each one of them was provided subsistence allowance of Rs. 10K per month for all these people for 6 months.
14. A 4 year old granddaughter of a vendor got 4 bullets in her and only one was removed in the Government hospital. She was taken to Bombay hospital and several lacs were spent by the Tatas on her to fully recover her
15. New hand carts were provided to several vendors who lost their carts
16. Tata will take responsibility of life education of 46 children of the victims of the terror
17. This was the most trying period in the life of the organization. Senior managers including Ratan Tata were visiting funeral to funeral over the 3 days that were most horrible
18. The settlement for every deceased member ranged from Rs. 36 to 85 lacs in addition to the following benefits:
a.        Full last salary for life for the family and dependents
b.        Complete responsibility of education of children and dependents anywhere in the world
c.        Full Medical facility for the whole family and dependents for rest of their life
d.        All loans and advances were waived off irrespective of the amount
e.        Counselor for life for each person
Epilogue
1. How was such passion created among the employees? How and why did they behave the way they did?
2. The organization is clear that it is not something that someone can take credit for. It is not some training and development that created such behaviour. If someone suggests that everyone laughs
3. It has to do with the DNA of the organization, with the way Tata culture exists and above all with the situation that prevailed that time. The organisation has always been telling that customers and guests are #1 priority
4. The hotel business was started by Jamshedji Tata when he was insulted in one of the British hotels and not allowed to stay there.
5. He created several institutions which later became icons of progress, culture and modernity. IISc is one such institute. He was told by the rulers that time that he can acquire land for IISc to the extent he could fence the same. He could afford fencing only 400 acres
6. When the HR function hesitatingly made a very rich(?) proposal to Ratan he said do you think we are doing enough?
7. The whole approach was that the organization would spend several hundred crore in re-building the property why not spend equally on the employees who gave their life?

Come lets laugh 2gether...

Equation 1

Human = eat + sleep + work + enjoy
Donkey = eat + sleep
Therefore:
Human = Donkey + Work + enjoy
Therefore:
Human-enjoy = Donkey + Work
In other words,
Human that don't know enjoy = Donkey that work.

++++++++++++ +++++++++ +++++++++ +++++++++ +++++++++ ++ ++

Equation 2

Men = eat + sleep + earn money
Donkey = eat + sleep
Therefore:
Men = Donkry + earn money
Therefore:
Men-earn money = Donkey
In other words
Men who d'nt earn mony = Donkey

++++++++++++ +++++++++ +++++++++ +++++++++ +++++++++ +

Equation 3

Women= eat + sleep + spend
Donkey = eat + sleep
Therefore:
Women = Donkey + spend
Women - spend = Donkey
In other words,
Women who don't spend = Donkey

++++++++++++ +++++++++ +++++++++ +++++++++ +++++++++ +

To Conclude:

From Equation 2 and Equation 3
Men who don't earn money = Women who don't spend
So Men earn money not to let women become donkey!
And women spend not to let men become donkey!
So, We have:
Men + Women = Donkey + earn money + Donkey + Spend money
Therefore from postulates 1 and 2, we can conclude
Men + Women = 2 Donkeys that live happily together!

How to write a resume that gets results

How do you write a resume that gets results?
In any society with an operating economy, a career becomes a very important part of any citizen's life. Consumers that have jobs have the innate advantage of a fiscal foundation, providing enhanced opportunities to gain goods, procure services, maintain safety, and generally lead a higher quality of life.
For the obvious and not-so-obvious benefits that having a steady job provides, many people go to great lengths to try and land the occupation they desire. These measures may include a substantial educational investment, many hours of work spent job-searching, and utilizing available networking resources in an attempt to find the right spot for them. One tool that every job-seeker should have is an effective resume; that is, a one-page document comprising a summary of your relevant skills, education, previous experience, and contact information.
Provocative Objective
Although the very inclusion of an objective section of a resume is a controversial topic with countless adherents to either side of the debate, evidence from countless thousands of examples seems to suggest that a well-composed, appropriate objective can be a fine ingredient of a resume that demands attention and gets result. One undeniable benefit of including an objective is that, immediately, it identifies the purpose of the resumes; i.e., the position being applied for, in addition to other possible details. Then, the resume-composer has only the responsibility to make sure that his or her word efficiency is at top-notch capacity to use the best words in the least amount to make the biggest impression.
Professional FormatExamples of adequately formatted resumes are rather easily found nowadays, considering their nearly universal inclusion with any legitimate word processing software program, and their instant availability online. However, even with a proper template that exemplifies the lay-out of a great resume, people can still miss the point and ruin their chances by, for instance, using an unprofessional email address like “hotgurrl2007@yahoo.com” in their contact information. Resume-writers should check, double-check,and then read over their resumes to firmly establish that they have adhered to contemporary rules of office professionalism and avoided all typo, grammatical, spelling, and punctuational errors.
Power Words
This can seem like a minor detail, but in reality can be the difference between a winning resume that gets results you want and the loser application that gets tossed in the trash. The killer tip is this: When listing prior responsibilities at previous job positions, use active language rather than passive. For example, instead of using bland wordage like “marketing responsibilities,” “had manufacturing quotas,” and “used a hammer,” grab your thesaurus and discover much more engaging, attention-getting bullet points like “launched three successful ad campaigns,” “managed a diverse pool of administrative professionals,” and “engineered several innovative products.” Notice the active, past-tense voice of each of the first words in those latter three examples? Having a quality, impacting first word to those bullet points under previous responsibilities immediately sets a tone of advantage over other, duller resumes. Keep in mind that many prospective employers will just be glancing over each resume, considering their stack of applications, and spend little time on each sheet; consequently, you should ensure that the first word for those bullet points is one that will grab attention and land the job.
This will make your resume more powerful.:-)

How to choose a career that makes you happy... :)

In modern-day society, a person’s career is often of paramount importance. The right job provides financial stability, rewarding tasks, a general sense of fulfillment, and genuine enjoyment, in addition to secondary benefits such as potentially forming new relationships, gaining new training and knowledge, and providing a setting for fun events.
But for many, it can be a long, arduous journey before they discover their ideal fit for long-term employment. People want to land a gig that will make them happy, and not spend years bouncing from company to company performing work that only depresses them in the end.
Prior Enjoyment
Far too often, someone pursues a field of study toward a career choice because they believe it “sounds cool” or “looks interesting.” The issue with this line of thinking is that, often, their perception is based on media portrayal and not on actual front-line experience. For instance, the arena of forensics has always been a necessary part of law enforcement, but the popularity of relevantly themed televisions shows such as C.S.I. (Crime Scene Investigation) and its spin-offs caused an explosion of interest in newly enrolling students. However, now, many of those once interested are now becoming disillusioned as they realize how sincerely difficult the duty is.
Instead, a much wiser impetus for career choice is to engage in a job market related to an activity that you already enjoy. Do you like sports? Then if you are good at writing, you could start e-mailing contacts until you earn steady work as a freelance sportswriter, or even start your own blog. Or perhaps you could earn a position with the local professional or semi-professional team, depending on your talents. That is just one example among countless; often, converting a hobby into a career is very difficult at first and requires a remarkable initial time investment, but if enjoyment is a priority for you, then it may be an option that richly pays off in the end. Otherwise, even in a general sense, it is a good idea to look for a job you know you will enjoy doing every day, rather than search for riches or “cool” factor.

Newspaper....

In a day and age where millions of people across the world receive their information by digital means through the internet, on their cell phones, and via other devices, the overall effect of newspapers is sometimes thought to be in decline, with a decrease in relevancy and saturation.
However, as newspapers reorganize and learn to be hyperlocal in order to attract consumers, in addition to diversifying online content, they still hold a stake in the arena of elements that can affect your career. Providing up-to-date information in an easy-to-read medium, quality print newspapers can certainly affect and provide benefits to your career in a few different ways.
The idea is simple: Newspapers provide news. This means that their staff of reporters, editors, and other workers are constantly searching for the latest, hottest, biggest pieces of information to provide their readers. It is in their best interest to publish pieces and articles that are highly desired by a wide audience.
This means that, for your career, a local newspaper is capable of providing a lens through which to view valuable data. What is the general public looking for in a product or service? What are the current “hot items” that people are seeking? How is the economy doing, and how will that affect buying decisions? Are some specific industries suddenly surging while others are barely holding on to slim profit margins? The daily, weekly, or special edition newspapers can offer a unique window into these and related questions, to show an overarching perspective on trends.
Competition Insights
Although corporations may utilize ulterior means of gaining intelligence on their competing companies, including such creative ideas as hacking and outright spying, a regular newspaper can still be a viable source of such information.
If you have one big competitor in the area, how are they doing? This can be gauged by whether they are purchasing a lot of ads, what sorts of sales they are holding, what public events they are becoming a part of, and what press releases hit the public eye. How about from an industry-wide view, what are the big stories? A newspaper will often have them in the appropriate section, along with a potential sneak-peek at competitors.
Networking Opportunities
The old adage is still true that who you know might be more important than what you know. Not only can a quality newspaper have ads for vendors that may be useful contacts, but for someone who is jaded, discontent, or just job-searching, the newspaper can be an invaluable lead for finding a new company who needs work; after all, just check the Help Wanted ads. A complete change in career is definitely a significant way your career can be affected, and a newspaper publication may hold the means to create that change.
For so many elements of life, you will get out of it what you put into it; in other words, “you reap what you sow.” A newspaper is no exception: With equal parts creativity, opportunism, and effort, it can be used as a great tool to affect your career.
